Neuroproteomics LabThe Neuroproteomics laboratory uses the power of 2D gel electrophoresis (2D-GE), Multidimensional Liquid Chromatography (MDLC) and Mass spectrometry (MS) to fractionate, identify and analyze protein samples form nervous tissues. The major focus in the NPL is analysis of differential expression of proteins under controlled experimental conditions using Differential in Gel Expression (DIGE) analysis and 2D-HPLC. Protein identification by MS is performed in collaboration with the Michael Hooker Proteomics facility at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
