Synaptic integration in a motorneuron

This rather complicated movie shows three excitatory synaptic potentials (EPSPs) occuring on each of three passive dendrites of a motoneuron and eventually triggering an action potential (AP) in the cell's myelinated axon. The depolarization of the AP then spreads backwards into the cell's soma and dendrites.
