Fifth year neurobiology graduate student Alev Brigande received the 2026 Trainee Professional Development Award from the Society for Neuroscience (SfN).
The award recognizes undergraduate students, graduate students, and post baccalaureate and postdoctoral scholars who demonstrate scientific merit and excellence in research.
Awardees receive a travel stipend and complimentary registration to attend the Neuroscience 2026 conference in November in Washington, D.C.
Brigande, a student in the Anita Disney Laboratory, will also have the opportunity to present “Integrative computations on neuromodulation across macaque cortex “during a special poster session and attend two professional development workshops.
