Duke has one of the pre-eminent undergraduate programs in neuroscience in the world. Run out of the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, the Undergraduate Neuroscience Major attracts more than 100 students per year.
Research opportunities abound. Over 80 percent of the majors conduct research in laboratories at Duke, the majority of them in the School of Medicine. The program also includes a minor in neuroscience, open to students whose majors are housed in the Pratt School of Engineering or the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences.
