Tyler Bradshaw (Soderling lab) and Alex Vaz (Brunel lab) received F31 grants from the NIH. Tyler's project is on "Interrogating the role of the novel synaptic protein Rogdi in GABAergic inhibition and epilepsy" and aims to understand how the loss of Rogdi, a novel inhibitory synaptic protein, causes the human epilepsy disorder Kohlschutter-tonz syndrome. Alex’s project title is "Investigating ripple oscillations as a mechanism for human memory retrieval" and will search the code that underwrites human memory.
