Neurobiology grad student Justin Savage is one of the team of authors on this latest work that includes contributions from first author and alum Katie Baldwin and PIs Ru-rong Ji and Cagla Eroglu. Their findings in HepaCAM controls astrocyte self-organization and coupling suggest that disruption of astrocyte self-organization mechanisms could be an underlying cause of neural pathology.
