Winston Liu awarded the Bill Hall Prize for Excellence in Graduate Student Research

The Bill Hall Prize for Excellence in Graduate Student Research is an annual award recognizing one or two senior Neurobiology graduate students who have made impactful contributions to scientific knowledge. The award honors William C. Hall, a former primary faculty member in the department, and was created and funded by Terry Wu, a former graduate student of his. The award comes with a $1,000 honorarium. Chair Steve Lisberger announced that the winner of this year’s Bill Hall Award goes to MD/PhD student Winston Liu of Bohorquez lab! Winston successfully defended his thesis, ‘A Neural Circuit for Gut Microbial Patterns to Regulate Satiety,’ this past April and is currently finishing up the requirements for his MD. Congratulations, Winston, you make us proud!
