Neurobiology training faculty member Kate Meyer is among a core group of Duke SoM researchers who study RNA with an eye toward harnessing its power for new and better therapies for cancer, diabetes, heart disease and more. This concentration of RNA researchers was one of the reasons Meyer came to Duke. She says, “That was a big draw for me...It’s great because we all study similar concepts but we’re different enough that we don’t compete with each other; we complement each other.”
