Edward McLaurin graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in psychology. During his undergraduate career, he worked in Dr. Barbara Fredrickson’s Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology Lab helping research the effects of varying levels of familiarity in a cooperative social task. At Duke, Edward’s research focuses on behavioral and genetic factors that influence the choices that people make. Specifically, these choices are focused on risky and ambiguous economic decisions and the allure or aversion that people feel as a result of being confronted with these situations.
