Annual Retreat

2020 Annual Retreat - Canceled

The 2020 annual retreat, previously scheduled for September 23-25, 2020, has been canceled due to health concerns caused by COVID-19.

Invited Speakers:

Richard Tsien, PhD
Chair, Department of Physiology and Neuroscience
Director of the NYU Neuroscience Institute
New York University
Shai Silberberg, PhD
Director of Research Quality
NIH National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)
The formal scientific component of the retreat includes a distinguished guest speaker, faculty, postdoc and student talks, and several poster sessions. Informal components of the retreat include casual scientific discussions, a student-hosted dinner for the guest speaker, highly anticipated student and faculty skits, live music, and heavy socializing.

The retreat is a student-organized event: fourth year students take the lead role in planning the retreat and, with input from the entire student body, select a speaker, choose the venue, and decide important aspects of the scientific and social planning.

Registration will open in August 2020. Please make sure to fill in roommate requests upon registration.
