Dr. Kanak received his Ph.D from Southern Illinois University and joined the lab in 2014. Dan studies synaptic physiology and neural network oscillations in the context of models of Intellectual Disability and Schizophrenia. His work is uncovering functional abnormalities in synaptic transmission that drive the behavioral deficits associated with these disorders.
